Julio C. Fausto operates FIN-83 at https://fin83.com ("FIN-83", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Questions: info@fin83.com.
Account data: email address and a hashed password (never stored in plain text). Financial data you enter: debts, expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, emergency-fund balances, and related notes — stored per account in our database. Subscription data: subscription status, Lemon Squeezy subscription ID, plan variant, amount, currency, and renewal or cancellation dates — we do not store payment card numbers. Advisor chat (FREEDOM): messages you send and scripted replies stored with your account. Invite requests: email, answers you submit when requesting access, and language preference. Technical data: signed session cookies, locale preference, pricing region (derived from your country when you sign up or subscribe), approximate country from your IP address or CDN headers (for regional pricing and default language), and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.
We use your data only to provide FIN-83: authenticate you, store your ledger, process and manage subscriptions, determine regional pricing, link Prosperity Blvd game access to your subscription, send account-related email (such as password resets and invite updates), and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your financial data for advertising.
Where GDPR applies, we process data to perform our contract with you (running your account and subscription), based on your consent (invite request, optional settings), and for our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service — balanced against your rights.
Your data is hosted on infrastructure we control or contract with (servers, database, email delivery). We also use the following processors for specific functions: Lemon Squeezy (payment processing — collects and processes payment details on their checkout pages; their privacy policy applies to payment data); Prosperity Blvd at playprosperityblvd.com (we share your email to verify game purchases and grant bundled game access); MaxMind GeoIP (country lookup runs locally on our servers from a downloaded database — your IP is not sent to MaxMind on each request). These providers process data on our instructions or, for payment data, as independent controllers. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We keep account and financial data while your account is active. Subscription records are kept while your account is active and as needed for billing, tax, and legal compliance after cancellation. From Settings you can: (a) erase all financial data and chat history while keeping your login; (b) permanently delete your account and all associated data, including sessions. After account deletion, we may keep a minimal invite-record stub (email and deletion timestamp) to enforce invite-only signup. Automated database backups may persist deleted data for up to 30 days before they roll off. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Passwords are hashed — never stored in plain text. Financial data you enter is stored in our database in readable (not end-to-end encrypted) form, like most hosted finance apps: protected by TLS in transit, access controls, and disk encryption at the infrastructure level, but readable to anyone with production database access. Sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies. Each account's data is isolated in application logic — other users cannot access your ledger. No method of transmission or storage is 100{site_url: "https://fin83.com", contact_email: "info@fin83.com", operator_name: "Julio C. Fausto", operator_address: "Berlin, Germany"}ecure; we work to protect your data using standard practices for a web application of this kind.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. From Settings you can download a plain JSON backup of your financial data (unencrypted; chat history is not included). Contact info@fin83.com for other requests. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
We use essential cookies for login sessions and locale preference. Regional pricing and default language may use your IP address or CDN country headers — this does not rely on advertising or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on FIN-83.
FIN-83 is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
